(InnerN *4562*) Short Description Ultra RARE Russian Soviet CPU Gold Ceramic Planar Clone of Intel 8080. MADE IN USSR in 1980. K580IK80 - Kvazar plant made clone of the 8-bit Intel 8080 processor.  Great item for chip collectors !!!This is the 1st USSR made clone of the Intel CPUs,BUT!!! it has 48-pins and planar body as distinct from 8080 Intel CPU.It also has a mistake what Intel corrected in the future produces.   For more information, please visit - http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/8080/MANUF-USSR.html Some history : 580 was one of the most widespread microprocessor sets in Soviet Union in the end of 1980s. A lot of computers had been created on the base of 580: personal ("Magik" , "Irisha" , "Mikrosha" etc.), general purpose ("SM-180x" , "ES7970" , "Electronika-K1" , "Iskra-226" , "Radio-86RK" etc.), school ("Korvet" ). Monocrystal microprocessor KR580IK80 is the basis of the set,  it has 16-bit address bus and 8-bit data bus, as Intel 8080/8085 and Zilog Z80 processors, and is compatible with them by command set and machine code. Thus, any software written for 8080 can be run on KR580IK80. Furthermore, KR580IK80 has 40-pin package identical to 8080 and can be used in 8080 mainboards (Earlier version of the processor - K580IK80  — has 48 pins and is not compatible with 8080). A model of this microprocessor called KR580IK80A  (later renamed to KR580VM80A ) is analogical to 8080A processor.  580 series includes a large number of chips that allow simple connection of different devices and maintain effective data exchange between computer parts: 580GF24 — clock generator (8284 analog, 15 pins)580VK28/38 — system controllers (8228/8238 analogs)580VG18, 580VG92/92A — system controllers for different bus types (28 pins)580IR82/83 — latch registers (20 pins)580VA86/87 — receivers/transmitters (20 pins)580VI53 — programmable timer (8253 analog, 3 channels, 24 pins)580VV55/55A — parallel peripheral interface (8255 analog, 3 channels, 40 pins)580VV51/51A or 580IK51/51A — serial peripheral interface (8251 analog, 28 pins)580VT57 — programmable DMA controller (8257 analog, 4 channels, 40 pins)580VN59/59A — priority interrupt controller (8 interrupt request inputs, 28 pins)580VG72 — floppy drive controller (8272 analog)580VG75 — CRT display controller (8275 analog)580VV79 — keyboard controller580VK91/91A — system bus arbiters580VT42 — dynamic memory controller On the base of (K, KR) 580 microprocessor set, Soviet engeneers designed "Korvet" computer, intended for teaching pupils Basic programming language. The story of it's creation was told above. In addition to school software there was a text processor "Supertext"  (Final Word analog) and a russian version of dBase. Soon, a learning computer complex "Korvet" was built on the base of this computer. The complex had been widely used in schools and colleges all around the former USSR territory until probably year 1998-2000. Soviet Union developed localized russian versions of CP/M-80 for KR580IK80 processors — OS-1800 (used in SM-180x computers) and MicroDOS. Also, a software pack was written that contained a debugger, a screen text editor, a macroassembler, PL/M and Fortran compilers, Basic interpreter, object modules, support programs, and other service software. CPU is new, from the old stock.  Look an actual pictures below - You receive exactly what You see!!!       Payment methods I have a partner in USA who accepts payments for me:   * VISA/MasterCard/Amex payments via PayPal* Money Orders;* Personal Checks;* Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfer (Directly between our Banks).NOTE: B2B transfers are with discount about 5-7% and intended mainly for large amountsIf You can't send payment using methods that I wrote above - please ask me about alternative payment methods.  Shipment I ships International (WorldWide) via Russian Air Mail.Delivery by registered postal packet.Terms of delivery approx. 2-4 weeks (usually 19 days to USA, 15 days to Europe).Cost of delivery World Wide is FREE ($0)Item will be sent within 72 hours after reception of the payment (excluding week-end & celebration days).Take into account also a difference in time between our countries.I'll notify You via email straight away after I'll send your parcel or the postal packet.  Good luck and happy bidding !     Don't miss many interesting things from Russia!
