Is there a stand or case included with the USB-100? The manufacturer of the USB-100, KCM, has opted to create the best quality mic possible at this price point.  In order to meet the price point with the best possible quality, KCM did not include a stand or a case with the USB mic (only a shock mount and USB cable are included) -- To do so would have meant increasing the cost, or making sacrifices in quality.  Any standard mic stand will work. How well does it work for recording speech? The KCM USB-100 is perfect for speech – the sound is detailed & pristine.  The closer you get to the mic the more bass sensitivity there is... so you will want to use of a pop filter when recording for vocals. No, sorry we do not sell the shock mount separately – it comes with the mic. What are these two switches on the mic for? 80 hz hi pass switch to reduce room rumble -10dB pad to reduce the signal after the capsule before the signal hits the mic electronics... this is used on any "loud" sound source.
