The DA-3730A is an optimum CD-ROM encoder for use in design  and production of signal demodulator equipment (CD-ROM drives‚ CD-ROM game machines‚ CD-I players) based on the CD-DA‚ CD-ROM and CD-I standards. Specifically‚ by using this unit instead of a test disc in the inspection process of manufactured electric PC boards‚ total productivity can be improved by reducing inspection time and improving reliability. This unit is capable of generating a total of nine kinds of test patterns‚ including three CD-ROM/I main data patterns and six CD-DA main data patterns. This unit also includes built-in sub-code patterns so it can generate the TOC (Q code) for the lead-in area in accordance with the nine kinds of test patterns. The transmission rate of the EFM signal outputs (TTL‚ RF) can be switched between standard (4.3218 MHz)‚ 2x-speed (8.6436 MHz) and 4x-speed (17.2872 MHz) on the rear panel. The EFM signal output (TTL) transmission rate can be increased up to 6x-speed by applying an external clock.
